The Spojnia Credit Union is owned by its members and run by a board of directors elected by the membership. You can be confident that your financial privacy is a top priority of this credit union. We are required by law to give you this privacy notice to explain how we collect, use and safeguard your personal financial information. The following privacy principles were established to maintain the security, integrity and confidentiality of your personal financial information.

We routinely collect and retain the information we obtain from your account applications, transaction history and from consumer reports. This information helps us: to establish and administer your accounts, to satisfy certain regulatory requirements and to better understand you so that we may provide you with additional or improved products and services. Access to your personally identifiable financial information is limited to employees with a specific business reason for utilizing this data. Our employees are educated about the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. If necessary, we take appropriate disciplinary steps to enforce our employees’ responsibility to protect your very personal information.

In order to prevent unauthorized access to your information, we maintain security standards and procedures that conform to industry practices. These security standards and procedures are routinely tested to verify the integrity of our systems.

Spojnia Credit Union's Web site is an added benefit for its members.  Unauthorized access or use of the Spojnia Credit Union Web site is not permitted and may constitute a crime punishable by law.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

Spojnia Credit Union does not intend for our website to be directed at children 13 years old, but individuals within this age group may have access to it.

Spojnia Credit Union does not knowingly collect or use personal information from children under 13 without obtaining verifiable consent from their parents or guardian.  Should a child whom we know to be under 13 send personal information to us (name, address, email, account number, telephone, social security number), we will only use that information to respond directly to that child, seek parental consent, or provide parental notice.  We are not responsible for the data collections and use practices of non-affiliated third parties to which our website may link.  Parties with which Spojnia Credit Union is affiliated with are the Polish National Union of America, the Polish National Catholic Church, PCUA, NCUA, CUNA Mutual, Legacy Member Services, Smart Option Loan by Sallie Mae, Sprint and the Credit Union Auto Club.

A parent or guardian has the right to review the personal information collected on a child under 13 years old.  If requested, the parent or guardian can have the information deleted and refuse to allow any further collection or use of the child's information.  To make such requests, please contact us at 570-344-1513.
